Norwich Medics Rugby offers the opportunity for anyone with any type of involvement in healthcare to share the love of the egg-shaped ball! We cater for all abilities... If you've not played before but want to give it a go- no problem! Everyone is welcome to training. If you're an experienced player, we have two regular competitive men's teams and a ladies team to give everyone as much game time as they like. Amongst our ranks we have plenty medical students as well as junior doctors, physiotherapists, pharmacists as well as others from different backgrounds. Training is every Thursday evening at 7.30pm. Our host club, Crusaders RFC is a very short car journey from the UEA campus, but dont worry about transport or directions as we meet every night at the Medical school building and our fleet of cars will make sure you get there and back safely. Matches are usually on Saturdays for the Men and Sundays for the Ladies. If you know you definitely want to be part of the family, invest in a pair of rugby boots and gum shield. On the other hand, if you're not 100% convinced, hold off in splashing out on equipment just yet- give us a call/email and we'll sort you out with some temporary stash until you make your mind up. The club's ethos is to play hard... We have fun, have a laugh, drink until we're merry and there's no eyebrow raising initiation ceremonies! If you join up, we ask for a small annual fee every year to keep the club going, but you need not pay this until you are sure you want to stay with NMRFC. We never rely on you turning up to every training session or match, as healthcare students and professionals, you're timetables are busy and this is one reason why NMRFC exists. UEA medical students- throughout your Fresher's week we will present and keen to get to know you and get you involved. When we were first years, we quickly realised we were getting involved in something very special! We dont want you to miss out!
